My life has changed ever since I got my MacBook. I've been subscribing to rss feeds, watching video podcasts, listening to audio podcasts, and writing my new blog. I've been clicking link after link to keep reading on stuff. I just never seem to have enough time (and thus sleep) now. I can never finish reading news (headlines even). To top it off, I discover interesting sites one after another. The age of information is so convenient yet intimidating.
I'm trying to get my life organized and be meaningful again. My plans are simply getting hectic. Reading, jogging, reading, climbing, podcasting, scuba diving, reading, hiking, reading, IM'ing, socializing, reading, daydreaming, socializing, reading, and the newest activity... tada... volunteering at Civic Exchange! (shoot, I didn't even include job searching!)
I have been contacted by Civic Exchange to meet up and help out this Sunday. I probably won't be doing anything big, but I see this as a beginning for things and a start of my exposure to the industry and all the talented people. There will be a press release in the afternoon and I've been invited to join. I wonder if I'll end up being caught on TV! =)
I just found out that a serious-looking American partner is actually an outdoors person who also flies a plane back in the States! I offered to go hiking with him in HK when he's up for it though he'll be out of HK till the end of October, at which time I'll be in Canada till the beginning of November. Let's see if we'll actually end up going hiking together. I'm kind of liking my role as the tourist ambassador for the HK nature these days. =)
