If I Should Die Diving

I was reading this on a scuba forum. It was a pretty funny thread, and it prompts me into thinking what I'd do/think if I should die diving...

If I should die diving, DO NOT throw out ANY of my gear!! Man, they're expensive! Give it all out to my Rescue instructor. He can then distribute my gear to whoever wants a share of it or he can keep it all to himself. (It's very likely that I'd die with some of his gear on me anyway. :D)

If I should die diving, don't feel bad for me. It's way better (and cooler) to die diving than dying some other lame means, e.g. dying at work, dying commuting to the dive site, or dying crossing the road.

If I should die diving, don't let the incident affect your thoughts on diving. Anything could happen, diving or not.

If I should die diving, get the facts right about the incident. Newspaper reporters don't know what they're writing.

If I should die diving, feel free to analyze the incident (after appropriate facts have been obtained). There is very likely fault or stupidity on my part. Probably on my buddy's part as well. Just don't be too harsh with your criticisms. :)

I'm getting very, very excited about my two upcoming diving trips, particularly so with my Floridian cavern training course. Can't wait...
