We went hiking in Sai Kung yesterday. We picked a trail that I've previously been to, but we decided to take a different route towards the end as it read on the map to be less steep going down. This path would take us to Pak Tam Chung 北潭涌. This route was obviously not frequently travelled. We kept walking into spider webs and bushes. We were having a lot of fun and we just kept joking. I sneezed. And my friends said it was convenient to just walk over to the Lady MacLehose Holiday Village in Pak Tam Chung to quarantine myself.
We kept following the ribbon marks and descended. Eventually, we saw some nicely painted detached-homes. We knew we've arrived at the end of the trail. Then -- we saw them. We saw two men in blue outfit, outfit you see people wear on TV in places were hygiene is of utmost importance. There was the blue cap, the blue cloak, and the blue shoe covers. And it struck us -- our jokes came true! We literally walked ourselves into the quarantine homes of the Lady MacLehose Holiday Village!
Well, I wouldn't mind being quarantined for seven days, since I'd have an extremely busy week at work to come. But then, I could only afford being quarantined for six and a half days, as I was supposed to take a morning flight for vacation in exactly six and a half days. So, what was to become of us?
We waited, and eventually another man in blue came and escorted us to the entrance of the vacation village. He told us to follow him, but not too closely. And if we were to see other people not in blue, we weren't to make any contact with them. He told us that if we were greeted by the doctor, we'd be staying there for a week.
At last, we registered our names at the entrance and were sent outside of the gate to take the minibus. That will remain quite a joke among us.

uff, that was close... vacations again?
Why does everyone have to say "again" when it comes to my travels? :P Yeah, diving in the Philippines.
maybe because every time I hear from you is when you talk about your trips or when I see the pics of your trips, again... and again :P
