This afternoon, I was looking at pictures of the Killarney Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada and reading about the 100km La Cloche Silhouette Trail which offers magnificent views over a 7-10 day backcountry trip. My heart was beating fast. I could feel my strong urge to be there, to be cleansed from the filth from civilization and materialism.
This evening, I was watching a TV show on travelling in New Zealand. I heard myself sighing, and I could feel myself being so close to tears. I wasn't particularly upset. But nature, even if it's just the image of it, is so powerful it's beyond words can describe.
Afterword
I just found out about Jerrold's blog and skimmed through it for the first time. I was even closer to tears at this point.

NZ is a great country if I may say so, especially the South Island. Let me know if you're heading down to the Southen Hemisphere!
