Day 2 in Boston

My day started at 7am. We first drove to the Mansfield Airport to pick up the plane. It was super cool. It's a little plane that seats four. It was my first time to fly in a private plane so everything was new to me. We flew to Martha's Vineyard in Cape Cod to chill at the beach, Katama. The beach was beautiful and we were the first to get there! It's a remote beach so people would only fly there or only the locals would visit it. It got pretty crowded as the day went by. The weather was beautiful and the water was quite chilly. I got a tan and I felt great.

We then flew to Hyannis, Cape Cod for a late lunch. It was kind of like a fast food place, but their food was quite pricey. We had fish and chips and fried scallops out on the dock. The view of the other boats and sails was amazing. The flights were also amazingly smooth. The weather couldn't have been better and the flights couldn't have been smoother. The view from high up the sky was awesome.

Then we flew back to Mansfield. My friend let me fly for a bit!! He taught me to do a left turn and it was super cool!! I think I did pretty well and it was pretty scary. There's so much to consider while flying and turning very slightly could cause so much change in our course. It was really fun. My friend then did quite a few touch and goes to practice and to have some fun. I was so tired I actually fell asleep... By the time we finally landed it was quite dark. We pushed the plane back in the hangar and drove back to Warthrop. I saw the night view of Boston and the ocean. We also accidentally saw a weird red shape off the horizon. After watching it for a while were we able to know for sure it was moonrise! The moon was red and weirdly-shaped because it was a few days past the full moon.

I got back to my room, took a shower to get rid of all the salt and passed out without blogging.
