At the HK International Airport

So I'm off to Seattle today. My flight takes off at 5:10pm but I'm already at the airport at noon. The gate hasn't even been assigned yet so I'm just sitting somewhere near the UA gates (hopefully) and I thought I might as well start blogging. I've thought of leaving the AC adapter and the battery with my check-in luggage so I had less weight to carry. I'm glad I decided to take the battery with me or I could only read now.

The whole HK International Airport is supposed to be covered by free wi-fi as offered by PCCW. For some reason, I can receive strong signals from PCCW but I couldn't get gateway access (or whatever the problem is... I'm just getting these terms from the MSN troubleshoot guide). What I'm doing now is just stealing the signals from Cathay. Again, I don't understand this. Cathay should be able to see the problem of people abusing their wi-fi network. Why don't they block their signals? Anyways, I'm not complaining about Cathay. Maybe PCCW.

This is my second business trip, and my first travelling on my own and on long-haul. I have no problem with flying alone, of course. I'm just not really sure what to do once I get to Seattle. My flight will arrive at 12:30am. I think I'll just hop into a taxi (or cab) and hope they can find the way to the Hyatt. I've got a very simple map on me anyway. My stay in Boston is even weirder. I have no idea what to do after I arrive at the airport. I'll arrive at 6am after a redeye. I have no idea where I'm staying and where I'm going. Hehe... We'll see how things go.

I had a very enjoyable hike yesterday, though toward the end we got poured on and the pair of hiking boots I was supposed to bring with me today were soaked. I ended up only bringing (and wearing) my new Salomon trail runners. I hope I don't sprain my ankles. The hike yesterday was nice. I'm kinda wanting to do Trailwalker again next year, with better time management next time. Let's see if I still say the same thing after this year's race. =) I'm thinking of doing the half marathon (21km) next March too, instead of 10km. Unfortuately, I got a tan on my arms from yesterday. I did put sunscreen on before I left home. But I never re-applied and I sort of forgot the whole thing completely. I think it's inevitable that I get darker as we train more. Oh well.

Hey, if you're in Seattle already, you'll be just in time for the total lunar Eclipse tonight. Just something to do while adjusting to your jetlag.
