Another Visit to the Vet

I've never realized that my cats are actually pretty old. I've always felt that they're active and alert. Mew's eyes have always been beautiful. Smokey's always been affectionate. Mew is 13. Smokey is 11. If it wasn't for the vet visit yesterday, I wouldn't have realized how vulnerable they both are and that I should be a lot more attentive to their behaviour. Mew's gum infection is back. I have a feeling that this time her pain is a lot more acute and unbearable. She had her steroid shots yesterday but she's still in hiding today and hasn't eaten for pretty much three days now. Her response to the shots last time was a lot more positive. But I took her to a different vet this time so I don't know if they gave her different shots. I'm supposed to give a few medications to Mew but I'm not having much luck so far. I have a very bad feeling because of all the warnings and precautions the vet gave me due to the age of Mew.
